The thrill of victory! The agony of defeat! Do your best and win for yourself! Peter imagines how the Olympics might turn out if animals were the competitors. Kittens, squirrels, and orangutans give their all as they vie for coveted gold medals in yarn-ball scrimmage, the banana-toss finals, and the nut-burying championship. Students get into the action too. Animalympics is a light-hearted lesson in teamwork and sportsmanship, an enhancement to character education and science (animals, biology) studies, and a delightful introduction to the multi-faceted art of puppetry. A post-show question and answer segment and online study guide can be provided on request.
Peter Hart
