Volunteer

Young Audiences, Woodruff Arts Center, Georgia’s largest provider of arts-in-education programming in all art forms for grades PreK - 12, offers the following opportunities for individuals interested in volunteering:

Program Sales Volunteers: Right now, our greatest volunteer need is in our Program Sales Department. These volunteers assist the Program Sales staff with daily office tasks, including research of school contact information or providing customer service phone calls. To volunteer or request more information about becoming a program sales volunteer, please contact Michele Lami at (404) 733-5327 or michele.lami@woodruffcenter.org.

For all other volunteer opportunities, please contact Michelle Schweber, Development Director: (404) 733-5337, michelle.schweber@woodruffcenter.org

Program Observers: YAWAC trains volunteers to observe and provide feedback on its in-school programs.

Event Assistants: Many volunteers are needed to assist with pre-event planning and preparation and to perform a variety of tasks the day of events to ensure a productive, pleasant, and problem-free experience for all attendees. These tasks may include registration, set-up/take-down, timekeeping, stage managing, and narrating.

Program Assistants: Volunteers support our programs in various ways such as reading to kindergarteners in our smART stART early literacy initiative; assisting artists during Family Arts and Creativity nights; and overseeing craft activities during the WAC-wide Target Family Fun Day.

Fundraising: Whether its hands-on help at a fundraising event, stuffing envelopes, or serving on our corporate, foundation or individual giving committees, YAWAC constantly seeks volunteers to help us raise the funds that underwrite the delivery and expansion of our services.

Marketing Associate: Assists in the day to day operations of the communications and marketing department including event planning, database management, editing, and research.

Development/Grants Associate: Assists in the day to day operations of the development department including event planning, direct mail solicitation, and the research and development of grant proposals
