S.T.E.A.M Heat Suite: D.I.S. Art in the Computer Lab | Jeff Mather
|
D.I.S. stands for Digital Image Story, a simplified form of Digital Storytelling that fits beautifully into and enhances middle school and high school visual art programs. Jeff shares the knowledge gained from being a Digital Storytelling teaching artist coach for the YAWAC Digital Storytelling program and a leader in the evolution of this art form. D.I.S. Art involves students in sequencing images that they have created and altered themselves, using imaging programs on the computer. The result is a short digital art project demonstrating the discoveries that students can make when they re-imagine their visual art ideas using digital tools.
