Contracting/Payment
Once your program has been scheduled, you will receive a Confirmation Agreement Contract and an Invoice. In order to confirm the event, you must sign and return the Confirmation Agreement Contract. Payment is due upon receipt of the Invoice.

Technical Requirements
Sites are expected to satisfy the artists’ technical needs as stated on the Confirmation Agreement Contract. If a site is unable to meet the specified requirements, alternate arrangements must be worked out directly between the site and the artist.

Rescheduling
Venues will be charged a $25 fee to reschedule a program once the Confirmation Agreement Contract has been created. The venue will not be charged, however, if a scheduling change is initiated by the artist.

Cancellation
When our artists commit to programs they are refusing other work opportunities. Therefore, confirmed programs cancelled by the venue are subject to the following charges:
• Cancellation within two weeks of a scheduled program: 50% of program fee
• Cancellation within one week of a scheduled program: 100% of program fee

Videotaping/Photography
Limited videotaping and photography are permitted only with the advance permission of the artist and Young Audiences.

What kind of programs do you have?
Our roster of 65 professional artist and ensembles present assembly performances, workshops, and residencies in a diverse array of art forms, genres and cultural traditions.

What is an Assembly?
An assembly is a performance that lasts approximately 40-45 minutes. Large assemblies are designed for 250-300 students and small assemblies are designed for 75-100 students.

What is a Workshop?
Workshops provide classroom-based hands-on experience with a teaching artist. Workshops last approximately 50-60 minutes and are limited to approximately 20-30 students per workshop.

What is a Residency?
Residencies provide classroom-based in-depth engagement with a teaching artist. They require advanced planning with school representatives to determine goals, activites and outcomes. Residencies last a minimum of 5 days and up to several weeks. Residencies typically involve 4 classes per day limited to 20-30 students per class with the same children seeing the artist each day of the residency. Additional costs for travel, lodging, supplies and per diem may apply.

How can I receive up to date information on Young Audiences Programs and Events?
Contact michele.lami@woodruffcenter.org to join our mailing list or follow us on Facebook and Twitter

Where does the program take place?
We bring the arts to you! Our artists will come out to your school, library or other organization and perform.

Can the whole school participate?
The smaller the audience the more interaction an artist is able to have with students and the more successful the involvement for all participants. Each program has been assigned an audience limit, set by the artist. Multiple performances may be scheduled back-to-back to accommodate more students. We encourage you to schedule workshops in conjunction with performances to increase the impact. Multi-day workshops and residencies are also excellent ways to involve the entire community.

When will I hear from the artist?
All artists must confirm arrangements with the designated contact within one week of receiving contract documents and, again, one week prior to the scheduled program.

Does Young Audiences provide artists for non-school events?
Yes. We regularly provide services to cultural institutions, social service organizations, hospitals, recreation centers, libraries and other organizations. We can also provide artists for private parties or corporate events.
